Xuan Lan Homestay were the second family in Sung Village to join the Da Bac CBT project. Before joining the project the couple were farmers, raising livestock and growing bodhi trees. Their income was very limited, which made the family’s life difficult. Thanks to the support of Da Bac CBT, the family set-up a homestay as a way to increase their income.
“We are thankful for the project, to Action Poverty and the CBT company for supporting and helping my family improve our conditions and hospitality skills.” – Mr Xuan
When Mrs Lan visited the other homestays she thought that her family would never be able to run their own homestay because they didn’t have the experience or the capital. However, with the encouragement of other CBT members and the support of the AOP team, they have succeeded and have since served many guests. They hope to keep improving the service skills and hope that more and more people come to visit them.
